Here are 6 helpful tips to help you to get started.
1. Dream - Everyone wanted you to be a doctor or a lawyer, when all you wanted to do was something creative. If you have a day job, get a side hustle that will allow you to use your creativity and skills effectively. Whether you dream of being a writer, chef, designer, an entertainer or a combination of things; see it for yourself and put it into action.
2. Stick Around Like - Minded People - Be careful of dream killers. They love you and want the best for you, but only according to what they think you or they can accomplish. This is about your life and the courage to see ahead, even when it seems like you might be going the wrong way. Make sure the people around you, are about doing positive things and are supportive of your dreams.
3. Focus - Everyone likes success but few are willing to work hard and deal with the setbacks. Before you throw away your job or old routines, make certain that you are mentally fit to commit to your new path and have the courage to accept the blessings, that will surely come.
4. Put Yourself First - Make choices that will benefit you and make you happy in the long run. It can't be about what other people want for you in your life. Even though they care for you, their motives might come from a hurtful place and possibly steer your life in the wrong direction. If you believe it, see it, then you will achieve it.
5. Meditate - Some might believe in other higher powers, however, I personally believe in God. Pray about your situation and mediate on the things that you would like to see happen in your life. Create a visual board and speak your dreams into existence, often. What would you like? Is it to be debt free? Do you want to purchase your first home? Want to change the world? Design it.
6. Reflect - In time, you will look back and see just how far you've come. Although this will not deter obstacles from occurring; nevertheless, it will build character, wisdom and perseverance, as your continue on your intentional journey.
